A new round of madness: students will be able to choose their own gender and race without parental consent

Under the hackneyed pretext of “protecting students from bullying and discrimination,” the Delaware state proposed an initiative that would allow students, starting at the age of 5, to “choose their own gender and race” without the knowledge and consent of their parents.

The 225 Ordinance requires schools to provide students with access to facilities and activities consistent with their “gender identity”, regardless of their gender at birth. This includes toilets, changing rooms, team sports, addressing students by name of their choice, etc. The regulation does not limit students how many times they can change their gender or race.

Teachers who refuse to satisfy the whims of their students will face disciplinary action, including dismissal. If parents try to point their offspring to such biological realities as his gender and race, then their actions will be regarded as discriminatory, oppressive and mocking. Therefore, if teachers consider that parents will not support their children in their decisions, then they have every right not to inform them of what is happening.

Following a public hearing, the Delaware Department of Education will approve or disapprove the initiative. Similar regulations prohibiting any attempts to interfere with the “gender identity” or “sexual orientation” of students have already been passed in 17 other states.
